OUR MISSION
Dr. Lee Wickwire
Chiropractor
“When I was eight years old, my thirteen-year-old brother was diagnosed with osteosarcoma. He battled for his life for four years.” Dr. Wickwire watched the bone cancer not only make his brother an amputee, but also ultimately take his life. With so much time spent in hospitals Dr. Wickwire knew he wanted to dedicate his life to helping others through health care.
“His treatment at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota opened me up to a world-wide cultural experience and the observation of a vast array of medical care. For much of my time in high school I thought I wanted to go into prosthetics to help others like my brother.”
After receiving a degree to become a Prosthetic Technician, Dr. Wickwire had his first experience with chiropractic. “While hiking in the snow one day, I realized that I couldn’t lift my leg without my hips hurting. So, I went to a chiropractor and experienced pain relief and healing in a way I had never before experienced.”
That chiropractic visit changed the direction of my life forever.
–Dr. Lee Wickwire
Dedicated to Your Good Health
Dr. Wickwire was thrilled to be accepted to the internationally renowned Palmer College of Chiropractic where he received his Bachelor of Science Degree and my Doctor of Chiropractic Degree. He is now dedicated to restoring faith and hope in his patient’s lives.“I want you to understand that chiropractic care is safe. I want to help restore your faith in natural healing and help you live a more active, fulfilling life.”
I Hear “You Saved My Life” All Too Often
Dr. Wickwire explains the passion and miracles he sees in his office regularly. “I understand how difficult it is to live in pain and disease. To be honest, I’ve had quite a few people tell me that chiropractic care literally saved their life, healed their pain and made life worth living again.”
“Ideally, I’d like to help you be self aware and notice small pains and signs of sickness before they get worse. That way, we can work to prevent serious health problems from even happening.”
Enjoying the Great Outdoors
Dr. Wickwire is a single dad of two wonderful children. “I love spending time with my son and daughter, enjoying the outdoors four-wheeling, working on my truck, exercising, and living healthfully.”
“Whatever your story is that may lead you to chiropractic care, I hope you will allow me to serve you. I’m always here to listen to you and help in any way that I can.”
Dr. Austin Davis
Chiropractor
Austin always knew whatever career path he went down, he wanted to be able to help people on a daily basis. When it came time to start deciding what he wanted to do with his life, his mom recommended he shadow their family chiropractor.
“I was a bit hesitant to shadow a chiropractor because it wasn’t a career path many of my peers were choosing, but in a single day I witnessed patients recount stories ranging from being able to play with their kids again to being able to work and provide for their family again. I was hooked.”
From that point forward he made it his goal to become a chiropractor himself so he could help people just like the chiropractor he shadowed. Austin went on to graduate from Palmer College of Chiropractic for both his B.S. in general science and D.C. degrees
Austin is a people person who is very passionate about helping people get back to what they love doing. In his free time, Austin enjoys spending as much time outside as possible. This includes running road races, bicycling, and playing disc golf. He especially likes going on hikes with his dog, Diamond. He also likes playing racket sports like racquetball and pickle ball.
Dr. Christopher Jacobi
Chiropractor
Hi, Dr. Christopher Jacobi here. I have lived in Iowa my entire life. I started out in Cedar Rapids, moved to a small-town south of Muscatine (Grandview), graduated from Cornell College in Mt. Vernon, graduated from Palmer College in Davenport, before moving to Tiffin. I opened my own chiropractic office in Coralville, started a family, and we have since settled into North Liberty. I eventually decided to sell my chiropractic practice of 8 years and join the Wickwire Chiropractic team in their new North Liberty office.
Since joining Wickwire Chiropractic, I have improved in many ways as a doctor.
The reason I became a Chiropractor is to help, it’s that simple. I cannot think of anything better than decreasing the amount of pain and suffering in the world. I feel blessed with the skill, knowledge, and compassion required to do so. Chiropractic is the skill I use, experience is the knowledge that’s needed, compassion is something I was born with. When a grandmother looks at me and says, “Thank you!” because she had a long, busy weekend with the grandkids; When a father says, “Thanks” because he can continue to do his job; When a mother cries, “Thank you!” because her baby can rest on her shoulder, these moments are why I love this profession. It’s hard to call what I do in the office “work”. I am more than excited to help a community my family has grown to love. Oh yeah, I like learning, sports, and naps while watching sports!
Dr. Gabrielle Sharp
Chiropractor
Dr. Gabrielle Sharp grew up in Avon, IL. She graduated from Carl Sandburg college in 2011, where she played college basketball for two years and received her Associates in Science. She then went on to graduate from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Iowa and received her Bachelor’s in General Science and Doctorate in Chiropractic in 2016. Her sister is also a chiropractor. They both knew at a young age they wanted to help people in the health care industry. Dr. Sharp grew her passion for chiropractic after witnessing her mom and sister getting adjusted and feeling great relief.
This is Dr. Sharp’s first year in practice. Dr. Sharp is an Associate Chiropractor at Wickwire Chiropractic in Marion, IA. She and her husband currently live in Iowa City, IA. Dr. Sharp enjoys listening to music, attending concerts, playing sports, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends.
